Katelyn finally saw the pediatric allergist this past week. She was supposed to have some skin scratch tests done to determine what she is allergic to. However, since her eczema was so bad the doctor said she wouldn't be able to get a reading. And since her previous reaction to milk was so severe, the doctor did not want to risk her having another anaphylactic reaction to another allergen. So we are waiting on results from blood work and we should know something by Friday. In the meantime, the doctor gave us an antihistamine to give Katelyn daily as well as a cream for her skin and an epi pen in case of an emergency. Already we have seen great improvement in Katelyn's skin and how she is feeling in general. She is scratching much less and is able to finally sleep. She is sleeping 9 hours at night and took naps today and yesterday!
